The Second Session Of China BIM Good Data Competition Series Report (II) The First Jury Meeting

On May 18th, the first jury meeting of Second Session <China BIM Good Data> was successfully held online. The jury panel are consisting 21 members from design companies, construction companies, software companies, consultant companies and universities to discuss the relevant issues. Based on the disciplines and the professional qualifications of each jury member, this session’s creative competition divides the jury into the frontstage group and the backstage group according to the assessment process. Also, it determines the director of each group (see series report 1 for the specific list).
After discussion of the meeting, it confirms <The Assessment Criteria for the Mock Competition of Second Session "China BIM Good Data" (cast-in-place concrete structure)>. The mock competition is dividing into two stages: Disciplines Work and Defence. The Disciplines Work is to complete and submit Three-Dimensional Database, Quantification and Scheduling Simulation Video. The Defence includes Design Modifications, Schedule Simulation of Specified Components and Quantification of Modifications. The mock competition is satisfying the following application points:
There are 15 teams involving the mock competition of this session. 9 of them are learning groups of "CDM Technology Series Courses", which have passed selection examination and have completed 24 online class in the early stage; these teams will adopt CDM platform. The rest 6 teams are recruited in the society, which are allowed to use any BIM, Quantification and other related software/technologies (see series report 1 for specification). All teams will be marked by using same assessment criteria in the same project; the mark of each team is depending on the submitted quantitative data, which is in the objective way. In this session's competition, the full mark is 100 points; this subdivides the index system and assigns the weight during the marking. The total mark is calculated by weighting four parts of the assessment criteria, which includes Quantification, Modification, Delivery, and Schedule Simulation (see appendix for details).
It is the first time to have cash reward for the winning teams of the final competition. The reward is sponsored by the editorial board of China BIM Union <CDM Standard for cast-in-place concrete structures>. Each winning team will be awarded cash and individual/team certificates.
Appendix: Second Session<China BIM Good Data>(Cast in Place Concrete Structure) Mock Competition Assessment Criteria
First. Quantification (Mark A) Specification
1.Quantification Results based on Sheets (Table 1);
2.List of Rebar in each level (Table 2);
3. List Concrete Quantities based on <Code of Valuation with Bill Quantity of Construction Works>（GB50500-2013）(Table 3);
4.List Formworks Quantities based on <Code of Valuation with Bill Quantity of Construction Works>（GB50500-2013）(Table 4);
5.Submit Schedule Simulations Video of Structure (Include Foundation).
For Above 1-5, each team must submit their first stage work before June 19th , any delay submission will be withdraw from final.
During the Final, above 1-5 shall be completed within one and half days.
Meanwhile, each team shall submit adopted software and produced database along with the first stage submission.

Second. Modification (Marks B) Specifications
1.Jury select one of the components in the submitted database of Columns, Beams, Slabs and Stairs.
2.Each team automatically find which component is modified by jury, and quantify the modification;
3.Assessment Criteria: One correct answer to each component will get 25; the total mark is 100.
Third. Delivery (Mark C) Specifications
1.Jury appoint one of the components in submitted database of Columns, Beams, Slabs and Stairs.
2.Each team use Smartphones or Tablets to present Three-Dimensional Rebar components, The Order Material, and Weights of Rebar with different diameters.
3.Assessment Criteria: One correct answer to each component will get 25, the total mark is 100.
Fourth. Scheduling Simulation (Mark D) Specifications
1.Jury select one of the submitted database of Columns, Beams, Slabs and Stairs, requires each team to conduct schedule simulations.
2.Each team present Three-dimensional Schedule Simulations of the selected component.
3.Assessment Criteria: One correct answer to each component will get 25; the total mark is 100.
For Above 2-4, each team must submitted their second stage work before July 7th, any delay will be withdraw from final.
In the Final Competition, above content shall be completed within two hours.
Fifth. The total Mark V of Second Session<China BIM Good Data>mock competition is calculated as:
V = A×70% + B×10% + C×15% + D×5%
